GROWKS Programs are funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative. The programs are overseen by the Kansas Department of Commerce and NetWork Kansas.
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) has secured a Brownfields Assessment Grant from the EPA To address the issue of brownfields in the community and leverage resources.
Applicants that qualify for funding may receive a Brownfields grant for environmental assessment of contamination. Priority is given to projects that incorporate urban agriculture, public infrastructure improvements, workforce development, and access to high-speed internet.
